Spaghetti alla Napoletana

Description

We like to make this delicious, traditional Southern Italian red sauce by seasoning our Pomarola® Signature Sauce Base with anchovies, fresh oregano, and sliced green olives.

Serves 6.

Ingredients

3 cups Pomarola® Signature Sauce Base
4 anchovy fillets, well drained and ground to a paste
1 teaspoon fresh oregano
1/2 cup sliced green olives, rinsed
1-1/2 pounds dry spaghetti, cooked al dente

Directions

In a medium saucepan, heat Pomarola®; add anchovy paste and chopped oregano.

Gently stir in sliced green olives and simmer for 5-7 minutes, just to blend flavors.

Serve over hot, cooked spaghetti.
